Did you know female bees are the workers in every hive? They spend their days collecting for the collective and they are the ones we hope to keep very busy with the Purple Bee Project! A single lavender plant lives a pesticide-free, fertilizer-free, deer-avoidant, thousands-of-blooms-per-year existence for 25 years or more. It's not uncommon for us to see more than 30 bees on one plant at any given time. A Worker Bee share of either a Dutch or English variety, ensures a summer of food for hundreds of workers.
